Grapefruit Ginger Beer Mocktail

A refreshing, zingy non-alcoholic beverage with mint, lime, grapefruit, and ginger beer. This grapefruit ginger beer mocktail is an excellent alternative to a traditional Moscow mule!

Ingredients

  • 8-10 mint leaves plus more for garnish
  • 1 ounce fresh lime juice
  • 4 ounces ruby red grapefruit juice
  • 8 ounces ginger beer
  • Grapefruit slices and fresh mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

  • Add the mint leaves and lime juice to a cocktail shaker and muddle the mint leaves well with a muddler or the bottom of a wooden spoon. This releases the oils in the mint leaves.
  • Add the grapefruit juice and a small handful of ice cubes to the cocktail shaker and shake vigorously with the top on until the outside of the shaker becomes frosty.
  • Fill two cocktail glasses with ice and divide the grapefruit mixture evenly among the two glasses.
  • Top off the glasses with ginger beer until full, and gently stir the mocktails with a cocktail spoon.
  • Garnish each drink with a wedge of grapefruit and a few fresh mint leaves. Enjoy!

Notes

You may substitute orange juice, pineapple juice, or cranberry juice for grapefruit juice. I recommend using 100% fruit juice.
If you do not have ginger beer, try flavored sparkling water or non-alcoholic prosecco!
