Ingredients You Need To Make This Recipe
- Fresh peaches. You want to choose ripe peaches that aren't too firm and that give a little when gently squeezed. Use extra peaches to make our spiced peach butter!
- Water. To make the peach syrup and to finish the lemonade.
- Granulated sugar. To sweeten the syrup.
- Light brown sugar. To add a subtle caramel-like sweetness to the peach syrup. You can omit this ingredient and use all granulated sugar if you prefer.
- Fresh lemon juice. To make the lemonade.
- Sliced peaches, lemons, and fresh mint. For garnish.
How To Make Fresh Peach Lemonade
- Add the diced peaches, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and water to a medium saucepan and bring the ingredients to a boil over medium-high heat. Once the syrup comes to a boil, reduce the heat to medium and simmer the syrup for about 10 minutes until the peaches are tender.
- Smash most of the peaches against the pan with the back of a wooden spoon. Remove the pan from the heat and allow the syrup to cool and infuse for about an hour.
- Strain the peach syrup into a container using a fine mesh strainer, pressing the peaches against the strainer with a wooden spoon to get all of the liquid out. You should get about 1 ¼ cups of peach syrup.
- Add the peach syrup and lemon juice to a pitcher and pour in 4 cups of cold water. Stir the lemonade with a long-handle spoon until combined. Pour lemonade into glasses over ice and garnish with lemon slices, peach slices, and fresh mint leaves.

Make-Ahead and Storing Instructions
I love to make the peach syrup for this lemonade ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator until I'm ready to mx my lemonade. Peach syrup will keep for up to a week in the refrigerator stored in an airtight container.
Freshly made peach lemonade can be stored in a sealed pitcher or airtight container in the refrigerator for up to five days.
Frequently Asked Questions
Choose juicy lemons by selecting ripe lemons that are bright yellow and give slightly when gently squeezed. If the lemon is very firm it will not have much juice and if it is soft and spongy it is past its prime. The heavier the lemon, the more juice it contains.
In my opinion, using a handheld citrus juicer is the best way to juice lemons. It is the quickest method and yields a lot of juice per fruit. To use a handheld juicer, cut a lemon in half, place one half in the opened juicer, close the juicer, and squeeze right over a bowl or cup.
You sure can! I have made lemonade using bottled juice several times and it still tastes amazing. However, I do prefer using fresh lemon juice because I love the little bits of pulp you get from fresh lemons.
